Hoopoe Books for Children, ISHK Book Service. "Award-winning series of large-format, illustrated children's books by Afghan author Idries Shah present tales from a rich tradition of storytelling. For more than a thousand years all over Afghanistan, Central Asia and the Middle East, children have been entertained and taught by these stories and have continues to tell them in adult life." ISHK Book Service

"These teaching stories can be experienced on many levels. A child may simply enjoy hearing them, an adult may analyze them in a more sophisticated way.  Both may eventually benefit from the lessons within."
Lynn Neary, "All Things Considered," NPR News, Washington DC
